Our Alfred East collection of art has been in specialist storage during renovation and is now back and on site.
The Permanent Collection of The Alfred East Gallery has been in specialist storage during the renovation project and is now back on site where it belongs.
The team have been working behind the scenes to check the condition, safely relocate the artwork in a brand-new storage space, audit, revalue and prepare the collection for public viewing.
The collection was transported in climate-controlled vehicles with crates and frames specially made to perfectly fit the individual works, using a team of professional art movers and specialist material for packaging.
The museum and gallery team are very passionate about the collection owned by North Northamptonshire Council. They are happy to see the collection return to the Cornerstone site and very excited about working with it again in the future.
